Open up the Bible (free magazine)

Free
This is our guilt-free guide to daily Bible reading - now with a fresh, new look.

Description

FREE! Open up the Bible is our free booklet, designed to encourage people to read the Bible for themselves on a regular basis. Its tone is encouraging and positive and its ideal for those who know they should be doing a quiet time but aren’t getting round to it as well as those who have never even considered that it might be a good idea. Please pass them on!

Open up the Bible contains all kinds of tips for getting started as well as specific articles on encouraging teenagers to read the Bible and reading the Bible with younger children.

Can you think of anyone you would like to encourage in their Bible reading? Why not browse through the articles, and if you like what you see, send it on to a friend or family member with a recommendation from you to take up the challenge?

Might you consider sending a gift subscription to someone to start them off on the right foot? You can set one up on our website, or by giving us a call, and you can choose from any of our daily reading resources.

Why not order a copy for everyone in your church? Many churches take some time in one of their Sunday services to outline the importance of regular, personal Bible reading and then hand out copies of Open up the Bible afterwards.

How about ordering a copy for everyone in your home group? One of the best ways to encourage each other is to work together and to jointly commit to regular Bible reading over the year ahead.

Do you know any parents you could encourage to read the Bible with their children? Why not pass round some copies in your Mother and Toddler groups or Men's groups, encouraging parents to take responsibility for family Bible times?

Open up the Bible is a free resource and you can order as many copies as you like.

Customer Reviews

A very useful resource

We gave a booklet to each person involved in our Bible study groups just before Easter. Our aim this year generally is to help church members to get into reading their Bibles at home on their own. There has not been a culture or practice of this in the past here, so the booklet was a very useful resource to give to people as part of the campaign. Thanks for the help!

Good for in-church handouts

Really excellent readable reminder to use the bible more. Our church has given them out to everyone for the start of this new year. With the current focus on the bible elsewhere (400 yrs of KJV, Bible Fresh, etc) it provides a timely stimulation to make time for bible reading.
