Brilliant
A Brilliant book, taking me deeper into understanding my sin, and just how sinful I am, Showing even more, how amazing what Jesus did on the cross was. ![]()
Excellent study guide.
I particlarly enjoy the format of each study session. - the way each session follows the same pattern of questions, getting personal and 'Think about it'.
Very good value for money. ![]()
Good and stimulating
The booklet has a very good summary of the approach it uses to Bible study and why this particular booklet is relevant. The questions are well structured using investigation, understanding and application. The leader’s notes at the end are very helpful particularly in understanding what they are trying to draw out.
My first impression was that it was going to be appropriate for new or young Christians but in fact it is very applicable for mature ones as well. Our group is mature and perceptive and although some questions are a bit obvious they answers are essential for the application and in following the arguments.
We are about half way through and finding it stimulating. ![]()
Interesting and thought provoking
Made the study of Romans far more meaningful and relevant. Well set out and easy to follow and thought provoking in modern society. In conjunction with a study Bible it helped understanding and allowed much more to be achieved from the study. ![]()
not for christians wanting a deep study
I was slightly disappointed with this study as our Bible study group felt it was quite shallow. We agreed it would be helpful for people who weren't christians but for a group of christians we didn't learn much from the study. We have enjoyed many of the previous studies, but felt it wasn't for maturer christians ![]()
Great for 1:1's, and a fantastic way to explain the gospel of Jesus
This is a fantastic book with 6 studies looking at the book of Romans. Ideal for a 1:1 situation to clearly present and explain the gospel. Answers many questions that non Christians might have, without being patronising. A great conversation starter and I am convinced these studies will lead many people to Christ. ![]()
Romans 1 - 5 God and You
This is quite a challenging study - more for groups than individuals I think because the "right" answers are not too obvious and Romans always provokes a lot of discussion. Originally looking for a commentary, before attempting Moore College Unit 5, I didn't get what I was expecting but am finding it very good as preparation. Not for the very young Christian unless well supported. ![]()
