  1. Very good   |   Review by Michael Elliott

Meets the needs very well of the my Sunday afternoon adult Bible Class.

We are now on week 5 and looking for something suitable to continue with. Any ideas? (Posted on 12/03/10)

  2.   Absolutely excellent!   |   Review by Gary Millar

Discipleship Explored has proven to be the most significant thing we have done together as a church family for years. The DVD is superb, and the study guide clear and helpful, We cannot commend it highly enough! (Posted on 29/10/09)

  3.   well thought out   |   Review by Barbara Harry

We had a group of 6 ladies, who had been Christians for different lengths of time, some years and several a much shorter time. They came from different backgrounds, spiritually, one RC one Methodist, several Open Brethren and one Anglican. Surprisingly, the ladies who had been Christians the longest seem to have experienced a more acute sense of confirming as they re-examined the basics of discipleship. The great need in the churches is for the basic truths to be taught. (Posted on 1/10/09)

  4.   Excellent resource for small groups   |   Review by Anonymous

Our group found this course very useful. The short film clip was clear and to the point and very accessible. On reflecting with the group, they felt that the course was a good follow on from Christianity Explored, but were glad that they had not done it too soon afterwards. (Posted on 20/07/09)

  5.   An excellent follow-on to Christianity Explored   |   Review by Tony Beauchamp

We have just finished using this course with our house group to see what it was like and there was generally positive feedback. we thought the presentation and production were excellent. One person thought the questions in the study guide were too simple and repetitious (and in fact he thought this was true of many of the GBC study guides we have used).
Some of the group felt that it could be quite a difficult course for those who were completely new to the Christian Faith but there was still a lot of challenging material for "mature" Christians, and very worth while. I would hope to use this course again, and feel it is a good foundational course. (Posted on 16/07/09)

  6.   Excelletn material, easy to understand, great for group work   |   Review by Clive Burns

This is an excellent follow on from Christianity explored. Participants have had their faith and lives challenged afresh. It is easy to use, encourages discussion and is thought provoking. Excellent discussions have emerged during these studies. The DVD is excellent. (Posted on 3/04/09)

  7.   would recommend higly, challenging and inspiring   |   Review by Nicky

We used this course as part of our Lent studies. The DVD's were excellent and liked by everyone. The studies were very good for young and in experienced groups or leaders, more mature groups and leaders found that they used them as a starting point for their own discussions. Everyone found the Bible reading programme to be done between studies useful and people were able to bring to these their own background and experience.

The serieies has been inspiring and challenging (Posted on 23/03/09)

  8.   Excellent Resource   |   Review by Rev. Dave Skinner

I used the material with new Christians who had not yet developed daily habits of Bible reading and prayer. This book/course was very useful in that regard. Some said afterwards that they would have liked a DVD a la CE. However, all bar one participants noted the talk as their best part.

What about an English Made Easy edition??? (Posted on 14/12/07)

  9.   Excellent study series based on Philippians   |   Review by Richard Bishop

We have been studying this in our church for the last eight weeks and have found it tremendously encouraging. An important factor for its success is study by the whole group, if you don't do the work you will get less out of it.

This followed on from a Christianity Explored course last year (both courses for the whole church) and we wondered whether the lack of a DVD would be an issue, but in fact no one was worried by this - although maybe that is more of a testament to our study leader than anything else.

If you're thinking of running the course in your church, go for it. I have no hesitation in recommending this study. (Posted on 22/11/07)

  10.   An excellent resource to help look at what discipleship really is   |   Review by Sarah Banfield

This excellent study guide looks at discipleship through the letter of Paul to the Philippians. It is a great resource for use with new christians and with those who would like to take a fresh look at living the christian life and what it means. The material is presented in a very helpful way with work for each participant to do in their own time. The homework helps the participant to see how the teaching in Philippianns relates to the teaching of the bible as a whole. The leaders guide contains helpful notes for the leader to consider both in preparing for and in leading the group. I have been very blessed and encouraged in seeing people understanding the truth and growing in their confidence in Christ as we have used these resources both in groups and in one to one situations.
