I was looking for a structured bible study/devotional for my wife and I to use daily and Explore fits the mark perfectly.

its been good to delve more deaply in to the word through this resorce tho at times it can be a little unrelated to personal stuff but thats the w4u2d in me that is used to that..:) but its good to build up knowledge of the owrd for futhure refrence so in that i am thankful. not saying this is always the case as its not... im just being fussy for reveiw sake.:-)

and was thankful for second free copy on receivng first as i can pass this to a friend.

These are the best Bible Reading Notes I have found. They are more than just a "thought for the day" (which I would have forgotten anyway by time I've rushed into the day!). You probably need about 15 minutes to do the day's reading (time to stop and think). They systematically go through the books of the bible with a short helpful commentary. They have "think spots" which are up-to-date and relevant questions to make you stop and think about how you are applying the day's passage to your every day life. There are also prayer focus points again linking the passage with every day life. I definately find that these notes make me stop and think and are relevant to my daily life. (Posted on 7/06/10)

Notes are excellent, they allow you to study through books of the Bible which you aren't often in reading notes, giving you a much better understanding of the Bible.
Only drawback is when ordering on line you can't state from which quarter you want the notes to start from, so I ended up with notes for a quarter I didn't need. (Posted on 24/05/10)

I have enjoyed using this aid to Bible reading. Sometimes there is only one verse to read, but the notes help me to realy think about it. There are questions which again make me think. Other days there may be a whole chapter and again with queations. I am seeing new things in the word all the time. (Posted on 21/05/10)

I have been using these notes for several years now and always find that they are stimulating and encouraging. I particularly like the way they take you systematically through whole books of the bible rather than using themes. Explore keeps me focused therefore it is a great resource for quiet times. I really appreciate all the different aspects such as time out, prayer, application etc. They are often humerous as well. A huge thank you to all the contributors and The Good Book Company.
