best out there!

(Review written for 'Engage Sampler')

I have worked with a youth group for 3+ years and have done lots of mentoring in that time. I LOVE to teach youth how to read the Bible and help them to fall in love with the Word. I have not found a resource that even comes close to this one! I have searched online and in Christian bookstores and this is the best one out there! I use the Explore (the adult version) for my own quiet times and I find them very helpful to keep me on track and to deepen my understanding of God's word. The youth at our church who have used the Engage sampler have LOVED the Engage Issue 1 and some have moved on to Issue 2! If you are looking for a good devotional, don't let this one pass you up!

Great Aid for Teens!

(Review written for 'Engage: Issue 1')

Great wee book, encourages you to read about 15 verses per night and has helpful summaries and prayer guides. Also explains the key points of the verses read to further your knowledge. If you are still wanting more there are several more verses to read on the subject which can be found at the back. Is relevant to situations teenagers (like myself) face everyday. At £4 it is a bargain as you get about 90 days worth per book. Can't wait to receive the next issue!

extremely helpful

(Review written for 'Engage: Issue 7')

My 2 teenagers and I started with Issue 10 and because that was so helpful we selected a few other Issues that we thought would be relevant. At the mo' we are in Issue 1 which is just as helpful as 10. It is well laid out with bite size thoughts, not too in depth just the right level for teens. They did find Amos hard going because it was a bit depressing but glad John's gospel followed imediately after that study. The extra readings at the end of most studies are great as they are optional but we always end up doing them because they go that little bit deeper.
One thing I would say is that we must remember that our christian walk is a walk of faith and a walk dependant on the Holy Spirit so maybe that needs more of an emphasis rather than the doing lots for God in all the strength and determination we can muster.

Great for teenagers!

(Review written for 'Engage: Issue 9')

As a Youth Minister I'm always on the look out for good resources to help young people dig into the treasures of God's Word. I think Engage is the best out there. The studies are the right length and help anyone understand the passage. Well worth having a stock to give out!

Bible reading notes that move steadily through a book

(Review written for 'Engage: Issue 7')

Engage notes assist older young people and young adults to engage in a systematic way with the Scriptures. Rather than jumping from here to there, the notes move steadily through a Bible book so that readers have a better understanding both of content and context. They are currently the preferred notes for older teenagers in our youth group.

review

(Review written for 'Engage: Issue 1')

Engage is very encouraging to read and easy to understand, especially for young Christians, prehaps maybe if you write another engage you could leave enough space one each page so we could actually write in the book itself. overall excellent, this will be not be the last time i buy engage, and will be certainity recommend this to my christian friends, great job!
