Having reached lesson 7, we are full of praise for this course. It is very well thought out - indeed obviously inspired - and just hits the nail on the head for our needs. We were thrilled in a comment the other day from one following it. "It makes Bible reading almost addictive!!" Full marks to everyone concerned! The course is very well produced, with telling backgrounds to each section. The talks are a model of how put a lot into a short time, and most of the questions were helpful for starting discussion.
We used it initially with an older age-group, some with limited educational background. For some the amount of "homework" to do between sessions was too much, and the DVD text of the readings needs to be bigger.
We aim to use it in our Home Groups as it's so appropriate to any stage of Christian development. (Posted on 28/05/10)

I've used this with a mens discipleship course, the men we're mostly new believers. The DVD presentation by Barry Cooper is very powerful. The comments from the guys has been very good too.

I have no problem recomending this course.

We have just finished using this course for the first time. the format for each evening is similar to that of the CE course which puts the participants at their ease immediately. the DVD is very very good! As a pastor both on university campus and in a church congregation for 10 years, DE is easily among the best Bible study material I have found. It is simple and yet professionally produced. No distracting "bells and whistles" as we say. The Bible study material is faithfully expositional (straight from the text) and very practically applied. The varied format (VIDEO followed by TEACHING followed by SMALL GROUP discussion) has worked fantastically for our church!
