Not rocket science, but just really, really helpful! | Review by Emma Fooks
We've loved using 'Beginning with God' with our 4 year old daughter and two year old son!! It's not rocket science, but just really, really helpful! At the end of the day, as parents we're tired and edgy, and so are our kids. Having an interesting, age-appropriate question to open up the Bible reading has made us think about how to engage our kids better with reading God's word. And the stickers are an absolute winner!! Excellent thanks | Review by nicola dean
Fantastic resource my 3 year old loves it and really engages with the stories and questions, finding the sticker just adds to the occasion. Lovely to find something that makes bible reading so much fun for a little one. (Posted on 5/07/10)

A great way to start regular bible study with under 5's! | Review by Emma Rendle
'Beginning with God' has been a great blessing to me and my children (aged 4.5 and nearly 3)
Its brief, so just right for under 5's, they don't lose interest1/2 way through!
The teaching point is clear and simple.
There is a simple prayer to start and end each session- my kids like the repeated format as they are familiar with it and can join in.
Its not all 'scripted' a suggested 'way in' gives you the chance to make it your own & be creative.
I found the questions a bit too easy for my 4 yr old, but its easy to adapt them. Also you do need the Beginners Bible (not the beginners bible for toddlers which doesn't contain lots of the bits covered) (Posted on 8/06/10) -
Some nice introductions & fun stickers, but some bits too brief. | Review by David Smith
Our little boy mostly enjoyed working through this (although he refused to join in with the actions).
The questions after the passage did seem a bit on the short side, but the stickers were a big hit (right up until his little sister got hold of them and stuck them all around the house). (Posted on 22/05/10) -
Good for my two-year-old! | Review by Adrian Taylor-Weekes
We thought this was great. It includes lots of helpful ideas to use in the study time and carry on throughout the day. A really valuable resource to help parents fulfil Deut 6:7. We used it with our two-year-old girl with some adaptation and she loved it! (especially sticker time) She ended up asking to do it! The only trouble is that we've now finished. Wasn't sure about the "I've read the Bible today" sticker though. Also the stickers didn't stick that well. Anyway more of the same please. (Posted on 19/05/10)

Fantastic Bible Reading notes for 3-5 year olds! | Review by Anonymous
My 4 year old loves using these notes - he particularly likes the stickers! The notes help you pull out the main teaching point from the passage. Questions are clear and help you make sure your child has understood what they have read. Great craft ideas which can be used to re-inforce what they are learning. We are looking forward to a new edition being brought out. (Posted on 18/05/10)

Not as good as XTB | Review by Anonymous
I bought this for my 4 year old as his brother and sister do XTB and love it. I am a bit disappointed to be honest. I find it a bit difficult to follow where they are going with it and it's a shame it's only designed to be used with the beginners bible. I would have preferred something I could have used with an ordinary Bible. The stickers are great though and I like the idea of Bible Reading for preschool children.
I shan't buy it again I will put him straight on to XTB which I think will be fine with a bit of explanation. We do also use Table Talk which he is really getting the hang of. (Posted on 8/05/10) -
filling an important niche | Review by Anonymous
I bought this as a gift, so haven't used it myself. However, I thought it looked really creative and appropriate for introducing toddlers to God. (Posted on 28/04/10)
