Christianity Explored Study Guide

We have recently used the Christianity Explored course for the first time, and generally have been very impressed. An excellent feature is the way in which it encourages those interested in finding out more about God to read through the whole of Mark's Gospel for themselves during the course. One lady said to us, "I'm really getting in to reading Mark and I didn't expect to. Once I've finished it, I think I'll want to read the rest of the Bible!"

The studies in Discussion 1 are particularly well thought out and provide an excellent lead into the DVD section. The Home Study sections are short and the questions are not difficult to answer, but are still thought-provoking.

Those in our group who committed themselves to working through the study guide definitely benefited from it. However, we are living in a working class community and some of the people who did the course seemed intimidated by the format of the study guides, and so didn't complete them. Maybe a less "wordy" version of the guides could be developed as an alternative (with pictures...)?
