There is only one person that the Queen addresses as "Your Majesty", and in this wonderful book we discover who that is and why she does that.
A lovely, concise celebration of Queen Elizabeth and her faith!
Inspire your kids with the life of Queen Elizabeth II. This engaging story reveals her life ambition—to serve Jesus Christ, her “Saviour” and “anchor.”
This beautifully written biography picture book is about the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). Princess Elizabeth never expected to be Queen. She loved animals, played with her father’s corgis, and rode her shetland pony, Peggy. However, when she turned 10, King Edward VII abdicated, and her father was crowned King. At age 18, Princess Elizabeth joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service and trained to become a driver and mechanic to serve her country in WWII. At just 25 years old, Elizabeth was crowned Queen after her father, King George IV, died. Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-serving monarch in British history. She lived a life of service. Queen Elizabeth II is a wonderful role model for our children as she served her country with her eyes on Christ.
As a girl mom, I want to introduce my girls to women like Queen Elizabeth II, who served Christ with humility and devotion. Queen Elizabeth serves as a remarkable role model, encouraging our girls to serve God faithfully.
If you are looking for biographies, I highly recommend the "Do Great Things for God" series. A series that focuses on how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
The Do Great Things for God series is one of our favorites! I love that these books teach about faithful women of God, they don’t have any sort of feminist agenda and they give my girls faithful godly women to look up to. My daughter (6 yrs old) LOVES anything about princesses or queens, so she begged for this book. This book follows Queen Elizabeth through the years from her childhood throughout her reign. When the story came to her coronation it said that she was given the Crown Jewels to wear, but that she was also given a Bible, “the most valuable thing that this world affords.” The book includes quotes from her Christmas messages through the years that were filled with her faith! Queen Elizabeth was an amazing and dedicated woman of faith, this book is a great introduction to her life and faith.
Im so thankful for this book series that has introduced my girls to so many women of faith! 💞
“Pray for me…that I may faithfully serve God and you, all the days of my life.” Queen Elizabeth II (Christmas message 1952)
I love this series for highlighting many different types of service to God, from missionaries to standing strong in war to serving for the greater good. And that is the story that is told of Queen Elizabeth II. Giving a concise bio of her life and the circumstances that led to her taking the throne, kids are introduced to a woman who spent her entire life in service to another - something every follower of Christ is called to do, from the highest monarchy to the lowest servant.
I love reading this book to my 2 year old, and she loves it! She will pick it out from her book basket and ask to read the "Queen book." I am so thankful for this series as a positive alternative to Disney princesses.
I am excited to give 7 of these books to my granddaughter for her birthday. They show how these women lived their lives for Jesus and were lights to the world they were called.
Our 8-yr-old granddaughter is an avid reader. She loves this book.
The book I purchased for my great neice is very good for children as a remembrance of our dear queen . It shows how much she respected the bible and depended on the Lord , who was her saviour and counsellor.
