I didn't open the flaps because this book is a gift, but I love how this book give positive alternatives to problems common to children instead of just saying "don't do this". I look forward to reading this with my nephew.
We love this series. We have the whole set and love each book without exception. It engages my 2 year-old in age appropriate ways and explains the Gospel in a way littles can grasp without inducing guilt or shame. There really is no other books out there like these.
Beautiful and engaging book, with big flaps. Not only it talks about what hands are but also what they aren’t for like snatching. Seamlessly integrated with Bible verses and compared to Jesus and God. Written in a way that even the smallest readers will understand and learn from. I honestly couldn’t remember this book enough.
We have the hands and mouth books. They are on repeat in our house and we constantly are referring back to them. Toddlers love to flip open flaps on every page and the concepts are presented in a memorable way.
I’m a FTM and these books have given me the language to disciple my daughter while drawing boundaries around what’s good and allowed with our actions! I’m so grateful for this resource. Earlier this summer, Abbey Wedgeworth released the first two titles in the series Training Young Hearts. Both books are “Lift the flap” board books written with ages 0-4 in mind.
Both books focus on a different body part, sharing biblical truths about them and how we can honor God through our actions. But most of all, Wedgeworth incorporates gospel truths that remind little ones of the grace and hope we have in Jesus!
