Jesus and the Very Big Surprise Storybook

$23.99

Bible storybook that teaches young children about Jesus’ return and why it’s so surprising.

1. Zebra drawn carriage

As most of the book is a parable, we had artistic license to portray things limited only by how Jesus' hearers (in any age) may imagine them—so we had the Master's carriage drawn by zebras! This is based on an account of a 19th century Lord called Lord Lionel Walter Rothschild, who tamed 6 zebras to pull his carriage to Buckingham palace!

2. Diversity

We always want children to see themselves represented in the books they read, this is important not only in ethnicity but also ability.

3. Clock watching

In this page where the servants are waiting and waiting for the Master to return, did you notice the clocks? The time gets later as you move down the house...

4. Shoe-less servant

Did you spot the servant who forgot a shoe in his hurry to greet the Master?

5. Singing master

As the parable closes, the back cover of the 'storybook' features small vignettes of the Master continuing to serve the servants. We included one of him singing to them—a little nod to the author's passion for serving the church through music!

Jesus and the Very Big Suprise teaches children that Jesus will return, and when he does, there will be an amazing party where... SURPRISE!... he will serve his faithful servants! Get your copy here
